Our Vision

The Interfraternity Council enhances the Purdue experience by assisting our member chapters in becoming exemplary values-based organizations.

Our Mission

Through the unification of the Purdue fraternity and sorority community, we will strive to create an environment where member fraternities, governing councils, and all members coordinate the development of academic values, interpersonal skills, relationships, and social experiences. The Interfraternity Council will provide our member organizations with the resources necessary to develop world-class leaders; thus bettering ourselves, our campus, and our community.

Presidents Welcome

On behalf of the Purdue Interfraternity Council (IFC), I would like to welcome you to our Fraternity and Sorority Community. Many years have passed since Purdue's first fraternity was chartered in 1875, however the camaraderie and fraternal bonds created and shared by these organizations is still just as evident today as it was more than 130 years ago.

The decision to join a fraternity is a lifelong one, and with it will come lifelong benefits, all with the hopes of building better men, preparing them to be productive members of society and in the process creating friendships that will last a lifetime. With forty chapters and nearly 2,800 men residing under IFC's governance, Purdue features one of the largest fraternity communities in the country with endless opportunities available for all students. We encourage you to explore our website and please feel free to contact us with any questions which might arise.
