- Be yourself. There is nothing more important than being yourself during rush.
- Evaluate each fraternity carefully. It is important to make an individual decision as to which houses you want to visit. Visit as many houses as possible so that you are able to meet a good number of brothers and see what each house is about.
- Take your time. A fraternity is a momentous decision. Be sure the fraternity that gives you a bid is the one that you will be happy with. You don't have to except the bid right away. This is a decision that you do not want to rush into.
- Beware. Look out for fraternities that belittle or make derogatory remarks about other fraternities or rushees.
- Ask for a tour of the fraternity house. One should look around the house and take notice of the environment.
- Ask questions. Make sure all your questions are sufficiently answered by more than one brother.
