Section 1: Any colony chapter interested in obtaining associate membership in the Purdue University Multicultural Greek Council must be a recognized Purdue University Social Greek letter organization by the Office of the Dean of Students. Each organization should submit a letter of intent to the president of the PUMGC. Section 2: During the time of Associate Membership, the organization seeking full membership must fulfill said requirements:
Section 3. If voted favorable and approved by the Office of Dean of Students, the colony/chapter will receive Associate Membership for the period of one year maximum. The colony/chapter delegates will receive a vote during the general body meetings, but will not be permitted to hold an executive position until they have permanent recognition by the PUMGC. Section 4. In both associate and full membership, the colony/chapter must obtain a ¾ vote by the current delegates of the PUMGC to present their case to the Council. Section 5. If approved, the colony/chapter will receive an outline, date, and time in which they will present their organization to the Council. Section 6. Any colony/chapter interested in obtaining FULL recognition in the Purdue University Multicultural Greek Council must have been a recognized Purdue University Social Greek letter organization for a minimum of one semester and completed all associate membership requirements. They must submit a letter of intent to the President of the PUMGC. Section 7. If approved, the colony/chapter must then complete all the requirements in the recognition procedures of Purdue University’s Office of the Dean of Students and then be approved (constitution update, officer report, etc). |
