Lambert's successor, Mel Taube (1946-50), was a Purdue Delt, as was his successor, Ray Eddy (1951-1966).
- Charles "Stretch" Murphy, Delta Tau Delta, Purdue class of 1930. Basketball All-American and member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, Mass. Stretch was a teammate of John Wooden and led Marion H.S. to the 1926 IHSAA state title before coming to Purdue. He was one of the first accomplished "big men" in college basketball. Murphy is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
